Starting in Year 5 will set her up for
Senior success
We are currently taking enrolment enquiries and interviews for Year 5 places available in 2020. Sacré Cœur welcomes enrolment applications from students of all religious denominations and faiths.
At Sacré Cœur, we believe that the best way to prepare for a senior education is to start in junior school.
“In Year 5, our girls feel a strong sense of belonging with incredible senior role models” – Principal, Adelina Melia-Douvos.
Starting your child’s educational journey in Year 5 at Sacré Cœur, lays the foundation for friendship, academia and lifelong mentors. Our young women look up to strong senior role models who help to instil confidence and resilience as they walk alongside each other from junior to senior years.
In preparation for their transition to Senior School, Years 5 and 6 students develop independence in their learning and a strong sense of self through leadership and personal growth programs.
In addition to the classroom, the Student Leadership program in Years 5 and 6 calls upon the students to be actively seeking to assist and lead Joigny. In Year 5, all students take part in the Prep/Year 5 Buddy program which focuses on outreach to others, then in their final year of Junior school, all Year 6 students take part in a leadership program to develop fundamental leadership skills and attitudes. Each Year 6 student is inducted as a Junior School Leader, working within a committee structure and taking responsibility for a particular area of Junior School life.
Through our leadership programs and supportive school community, we see our Junior School students flourish as they build on their skills in preparation for senior success.
